Mrs. Coleman Joins the Bismarck Elementary Staff

By: Teagan Ryder

Another addition to the Bismarck R-5 Elementary Staff this year has been our newest first-grade teacher, Mrs. Baylee Coleman.  Mrs. Coleman comes from Potosi as a paraprofessional.  She also is an alumnus of Potosi.  While she attended Potosi, she was a three-sport athlete participating in volleyball, track, and tennis.  Mrs. Coleman takes the place of Mrs. Stephanie Pratt who has moved into our elementary SPED position.  As we welcome Mrs. Coleman to Bismarck, the Smoke Signal decided to ask her some questions about her plans for 2020-2021.

What do you like about the Bismarck R-5 School District thus far?

“I like that it is a small school and everybody knows everybody and everyone has been kind and welcoming.”

What challenges has this school year presented?

“Working with different levels of learning and trying to meet all my students’ needs.”

What is a goal that you have this school year?

“A goal that I have this year is to get all my students reading on grade level.”
