For the last few years, Mrs. Lauren Robinson has been the school nurse for Bismarck R-5.  However, that is changing for the 2020-2021 school year because Mrs. Robinson is becoming Bismarck’s newest 4th-grade teacher.  Due to the repositioning of our staff, Mrs. Karen Clark left the 4th-grade classroom to become our new elementary school librarian.   Mrs. Robinson had a challenging year last year trying to juggle student teaching and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Now that she has moved into her new role, the Smoke Signal decided to ask her a few questions.

What challenges has this school year presented?

“Right now, COVID is the biggest challenge.”

What goals do you have for this year?

“To do my best managing my in-class and online students.  I want to make sure all students are learning and getting the educational care they need.”

How does your new position or title affect your day-to-day life?

“My routine throughout the day is more centered around life and learning in the classroom.”
