The Bismarck R-5 Athletes of the Week for this week are as follows:

Tyler Mork – Varsity Baseball

Trinity Boyer – HS Volleyball

Levi Sheckles – HS Cross Country

Lilly Dreste – JH Cross Country

Karlee Fisher – JH Volleyball

Here is what their coaches had to say about their efforts and what they mean to the team.

Coach Chris Hayes – “He had a good fall season at the plate and on the mound.   Tyler works hard on the baseball field to get better everyday.”

Coach Jessica Jones –  “We are nominating Trinity for our athlete of the week. Trinity has had to step up and not only play JV but Varsity as well. She has grown as a player on and off the court. She truly loves the game and is making an impact as a middle hitter. She made some big plays in the West County tournament and keeps working to get better everyday.”

Coach Todd Varhalla – “Lilly Dreste keeps improving every race.  She works hard at practice and continues to lower her times in practice and at races.”

Coach Todd Varhalla – “Levi Sheckles is an important team member on the boys team.  He runs hard at practice to improve his time at races.  Levi had an injury earlier in the season, but he has come back strong and improved his performances at races.”

Coach Chelsea McFarland – “Karlee is a setter, but her defense and passing have been her biggest strength lately. Her team can always count on her to make a big dig and be consistent on serve receive. Karlee is a leader for her team and a hard worker on and off the court.”
