Sarah Hale wins Elks Student of the Month for October 2018

The Farmington Elks Club has announced that Sarah Hale is the winner of the BHS “Student of the Month” for October 2018.  Her activities include being vice president of National Honor Society. Hale is also president of Indians for Life (Bismarck Branch of Student for Life).  Sarah started this club on her own at the beginning of her senior year.

Hale is also Varsity Captain of the Bismarck Scholar Bowl Team.  She is also an avid participant in swing choir, concert choir, and concert band.   Hale is band president and section leader in concert choir for the alto singers.

She has been on the honor roll carrying a 4.4 cumulative G.P.A.

Sarah is the daughter of Danny and Margie Hale. Sarah’s plans for college include earning her Associate’s degree at Mineral Area College.  She plans to transfer to another college afterward, but hasn’t decided which university she would like to attend.  Sarah plans on earning a degree in engineering.

Upon graduation, she wants to work as a foreign missionary through the International Mission Board.  She is very excited about this endeavor!

For winning this award, Hale gets $100 for her college expenses and a chance to win Elk’s “Teen of the Year” in October.
