At the September Board of Education meeting, Bismarck School District recognized two students for their exemplary efforts so far this school year.  On the elementary side, Aiden Triplett was honored by Principal Carmen Barton with a plaque (pictured above). For the high school, Chelsea Thurman received the award for Student of the Month.  Every month, one student from either side is nominated by their teachers for their academics, character, and helpful attitudes.  Congrats to the September SOMs.  Stay tuned to the Smoke Signal for the award recipients for October.
