The Bismarck staff has a new addition to their special education department.  Ms. Jackie Capps taught 5th and 6th-grade students at Caledonia before she came to Bismarck and applied to be our special education teacher. She has been welcomed by the students and the staff with open arms.

Why did you choose to be a teacher here at Bismarck?

I took the test for special education and I looked on the district website. I saw that the special education position was open so I applied looking for a change since I have been at Caledonia for a few years.

How do you like Bismarck so far?

I really like it. The kids here are really nice.

What did you do before this?

I taught 5th and 6th grade elementary at Caledonia school.

What got you interested in the special education position at Bismarck?

I was going to take the SPED position at Caledonia in 2018 because I had just passed the SPED test.  I decided to come to Bismarck for a change of scenery.

How long do you plan on being a teacher here at Bismarck?

I plan on finishing my career here.
