Bismarck Students Well Represented at MAC Art Show

Last weekend, Mineral Area College hosted its annual art show for junior high and high school students.  Bismarck held its own against a lot of other schools in the area bringing home a total of 35 awards.  Within those 35 award winning art submissions was a painting by Junior Whitley Lands.  Whitley ended up taking Best In Show.   Also, 6th Grader Jessica Aubuchon obtained an Award of Excellence for her submission.  Whitley’s artwork is a female face with rain pouring down it.  Jessica’s artwork is a peacock done in the fibers category with a purple ribbon.  You can see both below along with a picture of Whitley with her art teacher, Sharon Weston.  Congrats to all the winners and award recipients!!!
