Austin Jarvis surpasses 1000 points

On December 20th, the Bismarck Varsity Basketball team tallied up their ninth win on the season.  While playing a tight game against Eminence, Jarvis hit a three pointer in the second quarter which helped him exceed the high school milestone of 1000 points for his career.  Jarvis scored 26 points overall while Hunter Drake and Austin Droege tallied points of 16 and 14 respectfully.

His father, Wendell Jarvis, had a few comments to add about Austin’s most recent accomplishment.

He said, “Austin has earned this accomplishment through much of his own hard work and effort.  He puts in extra time often denying himself simple distractions like video games.  He has worked extremely hard to reach this goal.  Austin plays in many leagues over the summer spanning different states.  He continually pushes himself to get better on a daily basis.  Even as a youngster, he had a desire to improve and take the game seriously.  I have always taught my kids that you can do anything if you put your mind to it.  Also, in order to perform at a higher level, they must focus on their goals and not accept average efforts.”

Final score of the game was Bismarck 73 and Eminence 66.  Great performance by all.  Congrats Jarvis on your accomplishments.

Also, congrats Coach Brown and Coach Blunt on a great mid season record.
